A man has been arrested for raping a 14 year old girl north of Swedish capital Stockholm.
Police were called to the address early Saturday morning, where the girl had been drugged and raped by a drug dealer.
He was arrested around lunchtime, suspected of raping a minor. The man is not known by police from before.
Woman assaulted, raped and found in a ditch.
That was not all, as in the same morning a woman was assaulted and raped near Södertörn College, in Stockholm County in Sweden.
Police were called just before 6am in the morning. According to Expressen, the woman was hit in the head before being raped.
The woman was found in a ditch by members of the public who were passing by.
“We have during the day been able to confirm that a rape has happened, and we have interviewed the woman” said Mats Eriksson, press spokesman for the Stockholm police.
The victim was taken to hospital, but was discharged later during the day.
Last year Sweden saw a record number of 8 350 reported rapes. This was a 6% increase from the year 2018 which saw 7 840 reported rapes.
A 2010 report from the UN organization UNODC showed that Sweden had the second highest number of rapes in the world per capita.
That means there is an average of 22.9 reported rapes every day in Sweden.
