The boy that was stabbed outside a school in Sweden on monday has died from his injuries. He was only 12 years old.
As we reported on earlier, a boy was stabbed in the throat during school hours by a boy that was under the age of 15. This took place in Kortedala in Sweden.
The horrible attack took place at a parking lot near the school. The boy received serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
The suspect was later arrested in his house and social services has taken custody of him.
Prosecutor Mats Ihlbom says that he has never been involved in a case before where both the victim and the suspect were so young.
However, because of the suspects young age, this will not lead to a prosecution. A criminal investigation according to LUL (the law about young offenders) is being conducted.
The difference between a LUL investigation and a normal investigation is that it won’t lead to a prosecution. Instead it is designed to first and foremost give social services reasons to be able to consider which actions or interventions need to be taken.
It could be tried in court however, where it is ruled wether the suspect is guilty or not, but it won’t lead to a conviction which leads to a sentencing.
As we have reported on earlier, there has been an alarming trend in Sweden recently with young children are involved in sadistic attacks, in which attackers commit horrifying acts to their victims.
