The far-left extremist group Antifa will be designated a terrorist organization in the United States of America the President tweeted.
This comes shortly after the DOJ is to treat Antifa involvement in the recent George Floyd riots and protests as domestic terrorism.
Protests have escalated across the country with incidents of violence, looting and buildings being destroyed and set on fire, with protests breaking out in more than 30 US cities.
Videos have emerged showing people getting violently attacked by apparent Antifa members.
Antifa has a long history of being involved in violence, with a far-left extremist being arrested in Sweden last year after two bombs were found.
Just recently French police raided Antifa and found explosives.
Last year a Swedish right-wing politican’s house was bombed, reportedly by far-left Antifa extremists. The politician and his 3 kids were inside the house when the attack took place.
In 2017, German police registered 1 967 politically motivated violent acts from far-left extremists.
According to Europol, there was a total of 27 terrorist attacks committed by left-wing violent extremists in 2016.
